PDPL CLARIFICATION TEXT

  1. What is Personal Data, Who Processes Personal Data, Who is the Data Controller? 

Pursuant to Article 3 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter referred to as the “Law”), personal data refers to any information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person. 

In terms of the data of its own employees, Dias Bilisim Ve Teknoloji Hizmetleri Anonim Sirketi (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) is the “data controller”, while in terms of the data of its customers, suppliers and other business partners, it may act as the “data processor”. 

Data controller defines the natural or legal person responsible for the establishment and management of the data recording system, which determines the purposes and means of processing personal data. The data controller is the natural or legal person who will record, store, update, process, disclose and transfer your personal data to third parties in accordance with the law. Data processor is defined as the natural or legal persons outside the organisation of the data controller processing personal data on behalf of the data controller based on the authorisation granted by the data controller. The processor is a distinct natural or legal person authorised by the data controller through a personal data processing agreement, who processes personal data within the framework of the instructions provided to him/her.
